POLICE PR - Officers attached to the Micoud Police Station are investigating the circumstances which led to the alleged drowning of 15-year-old Louvin Nelson of Dennery.
On Saturday, June 28, 2014, Nelson was present at a Cadet Corp camp at Beauchamp, Micoud when he reportedly went missing. A search ensued. Nelson was discovered floating in a nearby river approximately 2:30 p.m.
He was transported to St. Jude hospital where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date. An investigation into this matter continues.

The Micoud Police Station is investigating the suspected drowning of a 15-year-old Cadet Corp member in Beauchamp on Saturday, June 28.
Dead is Louvin Nelson of Dennery.
Reports are that Nelson, a student of the Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School Campus B, was attending a Cadet Corp. camp when he drowned in the Beauchamp River.
St. Lucia News Online understands that the deceased, who has been a Cadet for about two years, left home for the camp last Friday.
He was his mother’s only son.
