Headless body suspected to be missing teenager

The remains found on the Fond D’or shore in Dennery. It is suspected to be that of a suspected drowning victim.

A post mortem examination conducted on a decomposed body discovered in Fond D’or, Dennery on Friday, Nov. 15 revealed that the body is that of a young male.

The examination, which was conducted on Saturday, Nov. 15, also ruled out trauma.

A police source told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that the body is suspected to be that of missing 19-year-old Felix Ed David of Garrand, who  fell into the sea while fishing with four other males near at the Le Shalope Beach, near Grande Anse in Des Barras, Babonneau on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2014.

DNA from David’s relatives will now be compared with DNA from the remains to assist in the identification process.

A police source said the body found on the Fond D’or shore was missing parts of the torso, including the head.

The source further described the remains as a “bulk of skeletal remains and flesh. The skin was totally white having lost its pigmentation.”

Initially, investigators were unable to positively identify the sex of the remains.

The decomposed body was found in a secluded area. Police had to gain access by using a fishing boat.
