Police said two persons were transported to Victoria Hospital following a vehicular accident in Bois D’Orange, Gros-Islet this morning.
Reports are that at about 11:018 a.m., a white Terios (PJ4320) travelling towards Gros Islet, was struck in it’s right rear tyre by a motor car (PK5773), which was travelling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the impact, the Terios overturned.
A reliable source told St. Lucia News Online that a third vehicle caused the accident after its driver missed his stop and began to reverse. At that moment, the source said the driver of the car (PK5773) swerved to avoid hitting the reversing car, and ended up hitting the Terios.
Reports are that the third vehicle did not stay at the scene of the accident.
Police identified the driver of the Terios as Melissa Reynolds and Romel Raveneau as the driver of the car. They have since been released from hospital.
