Police are investigating a fire that destroyed a house in Mongiraud, Gros Islet this morning.
Fire officials told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that a team responded around 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 17.
Upon arrival at the scene, the house was fully engulfed and despite efforts to save it.
The house was completely destroyed.
Officials said that no one was at the home at the time of the fire and the owner is currently overseas.
An eyewitness had told SNO, “I’m not sure, but I heard the siren and can see from my home……it’s kind of huge.”
