PRESS RELEASE – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 18 year old, Nigel Emmanuel of Jacmel, Anse La Raye.
On Monday, October 3, 2016 about 4:30pm Emmanuel was swimming in the Roseau River when he allegedly encountered difficulties and submerged.
His lifeless body was discovered some time later. He was transported to the Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
A post mortem shall be scheduled for a later date.
